School of Visual Arts is one of the most prestigious and the largest art institution in the US. They have great foundation faculties, such as Steven Assael, one of the most skilled contemporary draughtsman and a painter. Many other instructors are one of the best on their fields. Unlike many other art colleges, SVA have dormitory for students.
Pratt is another great art school located in New York City. "The mission of Pratt Institute is to educate artists and creative professionals to be responsible contributors to society.

Lyme Academy of Fine Artin Old Lyme, Connecticut is one of the few accredited schools that only teaches representational art. They have excellent draughtsman, painters sculptors as faculty members. Don Gale is an expert at pencil drawing. AlsoRandy Melick, Alyssa Monks to name a few more.
Laguna College of Art & Designis an accredited college in beautiful Laguna Beach, California that is one of the few schools that focuses only on the representational art. They have other majors as well, such as graphic design, and animation, but their fine art major teaches only the representational figure drawing painting or sculpture.
