Draw a Dragon
Here is a video showing how i draw a dragon. I kept it simple using mostly lines and less shading.I used a charcoal pencil and used shading within the lines, using dark lines, light lines, variations of darks and lights within a line. Controlling the line values as I draw. I did not do any preliminary lay-ins but just started out by placing an eye and worked from there, comparing everything else from that one eye. Later on, i added the mustache of the dragon to give it more interesting character and also indicated the long body mass with sweeping strokes of the pencil. I focused on keeping the dragon drawing fresh and clean with no smudging or shading. It was a quick fun experience.Enjoy this video on how to draw a dragon. Dragons are always fun to draw because they are unique fantasy creatures. They can be cute , scary, dangerous,and everything at once. Since dragons are fictionary characters noody really knows how they are uilt inside , the anatomy of t etc. but the artist here treated the subject as if it was a human and used the analysis of the human form.The whiskers of the dragon was fun to draw because they are stylish and thin and lot of movements there.its alwasy good to learn how to draw a dragon ecause its really fun to draw and good practice to learn how to draw a dragon as well. because they arte pretty complicated in forms like their scales and distinct features etc. There is a really great book called the eyesof a dragon by Stephen King. Everybody ought to read it. Aldo there is a good tv show for children on saturday morning and you can learn from it too. Dragons head looks somewhat like a horse in that it is very long. If you take a look at a horses skull i bet its similar to that of a dragon (if it exists) but i am sure it would be very very hard to find a real dragon skull because they probably dont exist and is just a fantasy or a mythical creatures, neverthless you dont really need a skull to learn . well. my video here should be good enough information to show you how it is done. Dragons are very popular in china and during their chnese new year (dfferent date then a american nee year, they celebrate their new year with a lot of dragon festivities and it is fun to watch and if you are able to make it and watch the festivities, take yourself along a sketchbook and you can practice and teach yourself ths way as well.
